Annette Costanzi, Cello and Teacher Development

Cellist, Annette Costanzi is one of the original Suzuki cello teachers who studied in Japan with Dr. Suzuki and worked to adapt the violin method for the cello. Since 1973, when she started her first Suzuki cello studio, Annette has traveled throughout the Americas, Europe, Africa and the Far East training teachers, giving master classes and teaching the Suzuki method.   She is the founder and director of the London Suzuki Group cello program, served as chairperson of the cello faculty at the Peabody Preparatory Program in Baltimore, MD, and started the Suzuki Cello Programs in Cairo, Egypt.  Annette has performed extensively as soloist and chamber musician, and she has performed with the National Symphony in Washington, D.C.

An active clinician, Annette serves as a certified teacher trainer of the Suzuki Association of the Americas.
