For violinists in Suzuki Books 3 and up who are interested in learning the rich folk traditions and songs associated with fiddling.  Chris Brennan-Hagy will teach the technique associated with the genre as well as several songs that are typical of different fiddling styles.  The students will master a few pieces and perform them on the Enrichment Concert on Friday.  Students will be placed in sections of the class based on their current Suzuki piece so the class instruction level will be appropriate for them.  The class will meet once a day for fifty minutes.

Comments from Parents:

"Absolutely loved it!  We thought Chris was hilarious and fun.  I appreciated her energy, hard work, and good humor."

"One of the reasons we come to Institute every year!  Chris Brennan-Hagy is amazing!  She makes my daughter so excited about fiddling and even though this is our fourth year taking the class, my daughter always learns many new things."

"Chris is very encouraging with the children.  She stressed stage presence and proper music etiquette.  Wonderful class and instructor."

"Loved it!  Fun!  It showed the value of practicing the auditory sense."
